Donation in memory of James Bearfield

Updated: Dec 8, 2021

In memory of her late father, James Bearfield, Carol Chandler has fundraised a huge £450 for the Age UK Bexley project, Men in Sheds.

James (Jim) Bearfield was a D-Day veteran and in his working life became an electrical design engineer. For a several years, Jim was a Sunday School teacher St Paulinus Church in Crayford. Jim’s faith was very important to him and stayed with him throughout this life. He enjoyed pottering in his garden and workshop where he could be found growing seedlings and working on his inventions. It was for that reason his daughter, Carol, chose the Men in Sheds project to fundraise in memory for.

This project wouldn’t be possible without the generous support from fundraisers like Carol. Every contribution goes a long way to help us buy paint, material and replacement blades for our members to get creative with. A massive thank you to Carol for your support.
